MedicalTurkish giant Medicana to open its first Romanian hospital in Nusco City

Medicana Health Group, one of the most reputable medical groups in Türkiye, signed an agreement to develop a hospital within Nusco City, a mixt-use project in Northern Bucharest.

With a capacity of approximately 120 beds, the facility will operate as a general hospital, offering all essential medical specialties to meet the needs of patients from Bucharest and across the country.

The first Medicana hospital in Romania will be built on a 4,000 sqm plot and will cover a total area of approximately 22,000 sqm, including 16,000 sqm above ground and 6,000 sqm underground, designated for parking and all specialized medical facilities.

Nusco’s total investment in the project exceeds €46 million (excluding VAT). Medicana will operate the hospital as a tenant, while Fortim Trusted Advisors acted as the exclusive advisor for the transaction.

We see Romania as a strategic market and we strongly believe in its long-term potential. That is precisely why we want to deliver here the same standard of medical excellence for which Medicana is known worldwide

Dr. Hüseyin Bozkurt, Chairman of the Board of Medicana Group

Nusco City was launched in the winter of 2020 and delivered its first phase in Q2 2023, with 622 new homes. The second phase of the Nusco City urban regeneration project includes seven buildings with a total of 828 apartments and 1,033 underground parking spaces, spanning an area of 23,662 sqm.
